Robot survives storms and shark attacks to complete world record Pacific crossing

A Wave Glider robot from Liquid Robotics has set a world record for the longest distance traveled by an autonomous vehicle. "Papa Mau" set off from California back in November of last year and just arrived safely in Australia after a 9,000 mile (16,688 kilometers) trip.
